Engagements

I work with a small number of companies at a time, usually where the science is further along than the company is. Engagements are scoped to a defined problem and a defined end, not an open retainer. Every one begins with a conversation about whether I am the right person for it.

S-001 Fractional and interim leadership

Step in as CEO or operating lead to get a program funded, staffed, and moving with a clean handoff when it's built.

Positioning, materials, and investor and partner strategy from seed through Series A and BD deals.

S-003 Virtual-biotech operating design

On availability
I am Co-Founder and CEO of Sarcomatrix Therapeutics, a virtual, pre-IND biotech. That is my own company and it is where most of my week goes. I say so plainly because anyone considering the fractional leadership engagement above should know what else is on my desk.
In practice it is why the engagements are structured the way they are. I take on a small number at a time, each scoped to a defined problem with a defined end. Interim and fractional roles are time-boxed and sized to the hours the work actually requires, agreed in writing before we start, with a named successor and a handoff plan built in from the first week. I am not available for an open-ended full-time seat, and I will tell you early if what you need is a full-time CEO rather than an interim one.
Craig Consulting LLC is a separate entity from Sarcomatrix Therapeutics. Consulting engagements are conducted independently, and I will disclose and decline anything that presents a conflict with the Sarcomatrix programs.
